Commercial Listing Leads to Story of Rebuilding in Watson

Agent Kay Landry and Jonathan Starns, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices United Properties co-owner and broker, recently sold their listing for a church in Watson, LA. Although on the surface this may sound like a standard sale, the listing proved to be quite unique. 

“The property was a 9,000-square-foot church on over two acres, and the congregation sold it because of the damage it received during the 2016 flood,” Landry stated. The members were hesitant to let the property go but were hopeful it would be brought back to life as a house of worship. 

Much to their delight, the new owner is planning an extensive renovation of the property so it can be used as a church again. “The fact that this building is going to be used for its original purpose of serving God’s people is nothing short of amazing,” said Landry.
